KNIGHTLINE EARNS FRIDAY VICTORY

STRUTHERS, OHIO- Knightline just edged the Avalanche 7-5 Friday evening at Bob Cene Park.

Knightline was led by Chance Laczko, who went 2 for 3, Andrew Brown, and Carson Fuller, who both went 3 for 4 at the plate. The Avalanche was led by Hayden Scarmack and Soren Hedderick, who both went 2 for 4 at the plate in the losing effort.

Hedderick was also the losing pitcher of the evening as he allowed two runs on three hits with one strikeout. Jake Dohy was the winning pitcher of the evening as he allowed just one hits and no runs allowed.

PROSPECTS RUN THROUGH EAGLE WEAR

STRUTHERS, OHIO- The Prospects had a good outing at Bob Cene Park as they took down Eagle Wear 10-0.

The Prospects were led at the plate by Gino Lazzeri, who went 4 for 4 at the plate and knocked in 4 runs and scored 3 himself.  Jake Carfangia, and Ethan Petak, who both went 2 for 3. Vaca gia knocked in 3 RBI and Petak had 1.

Alex Stowe was the winning pitcher of the evenon as he allowed just two hits with ten strikeouts. 

 

BALLISTIC BASEBALL KEEPS MOMENTUM

STRUTHERS, OHIO- Ballistic Baseball had a good outing tonight at Bob Cene Park as they came away with the win against Athletix 7-3.

Ballistic was led at the plate by Colin Crawford, who went 2 for 4 and by Gabe Rusnak, who went 2 for 3.

Zach Pleska made a valiant effort at the plate for Athletix as he went 3 for 3 in the losing effort. Aaren Romigh was the losing pitcher of the evening as he allowed six runs on six hits with three strikeouts.

Dylan McElhinney was the winning pitcher of the evening as he allowed three runs on nine hits with four strikeouts. 

KNIGHTLINE OUT BLASTS CREEKSIDE

STRUTHERS, OHIO- In what was a high scoring game, Knightline just snuck by Creekside Fitness 13-11 at Bob Cene Park.

Creekside did have a good outing at the plate in the losing effort as they were led by Jake Patterson, who went 3 for 4, Caleb Hadley and Tyler Mikulin as they both went 2 for 3 at the plate.

Mikulin was also the losing pitcher of the game as he four hits, five runs, and sat down three batters.

The leaders at the plate for Knightline were Andrew Brown, who went 2 for 2, and Chance Laczko, who went 3 for 3.

The winning pitcher was Caden Maffit, who allowed five runs on six hits and sat down eight men at the plate. 

WHITING WASHES OUT DURA EDGE

STRUTHERS, OHIO- The Whiting Roll-Offs had a solid outing on the diamond today at Bob Cene Park as they cruised to a 10-0 win over Dura Edge.

At the plate the Roll-Offs were led by Ben Miller, Nick Parrotto, and Caison Holland as they all had two hits.

Jack Ray was the winning pitcher of the day as he allowed only one hit and sat down nine batters at the plate through five innings of work. 

NICHOLSON’S GEM PROPELS ATHLETIX

STRUTHERS OH- Alex Nicholson was fantastic on Monday as he allowed just one hit to Eagle Wear on the way to a 6-0 Athletix win.

At the plate it was CJ Frasco doing a lot of damage going 2-4 with a RBI. Bayden Pipoly was also a contributor going 1-4 with a run batted in.  Zach Pleska walked three times and gathered an RBI for himself as well.

Nicholson left the hitters baffled all night long. He went all 7 innings and gave up just 1 hit, walked none, and struck out 9.

BALLISTIC BLANKS THE AVALANCHE

STRUTHERS OH- Ballistic Baseball got the new week in Class B Baseball started on the right foot as their pitching shutout Avalanche 4-0 to grab a win.

Tyler Wright was the most productive bat in the order going 2-3 with 2 RBI. Josh Wolf and TJ Border both went 2-4 on the night with a RBI each. Donavan Sullivan went 1-3 on the night with a walk and a run scored.

Gabe Rusnak was dynamite on the mound for Ballistic. He went the complete 7 innings and gave up 0 runs on 6 hits, and he struck out 6.

Hayden Scarmack was the only hitter for Avalanche to finish with multiple hits. He went 2-3 at the plate.

Tyson Djakovich gave up 3 earned runs on the night while striking out 6 in 6.2 innings pitched.

ARMSTRONG READY FOR BASEBALL IN GEORGIA

SWAINSBORO GA- All summer long we have been dazzled by everyone on the Astro Falcons 18U roster. They truly were a team built for greatness. One of the key dogs in their winning machine was Tyler Armstrong.

Armstrong has lived and breathed baseball his whole life. Now as he graduates high school, the game that he has put so much into has given him the chance to live out a dream. To play baseball at the next level is something everyone in the sport dream about, but in reality, only 7% of players in the country get to experience. Armstrong is one of the 7%. He is signed to continue his baseball career in Georgia at East Georgia State College. He’ll be a Bobcat.

Armstrong bay .340 this Class B season in 20 games played for the Astro Falcons.  He hit 1 HR and knocked in 20 RBI.  His on base percentage was also at an impressive .420.

FALCONS CLINCH CLASS B CHAMPIONSHIP

STRUTHERS OH- After the Class B Championship Series had to hit a pause button to make room for the NABF World Series, the Astro Falcons and Creekside Fitness met back up to complete the series. With a 2-1 series lead coming in, the Astro Falcons clinched the Class B title with an 8-3 win.

Tyler Armstrong came up clutch for the Falcons on the night going 2-4 with 2 RBI.  David Kessler also knocked in 2 RBI on a 1-3 day. Ben Slanker mirrored those numbers driving in 2 going 1-3. He also scored a run.  Zeke Hendricks managed multiple hits going 2-3 with 2 runs scored.

Joe Roth went the distance in a championship level effort on the mound. He gave up 3 runs on 6 hits, and ended with 6 strike outs and no walks.

Payton Zupko had a good day at the plate for Creekside despite the loss. He went 1-2 with a RBI.  Tyler Kamerer went 1-3 with a RBI.  Henry Shaffer also went 1-3 with a RBI from the top of the order.

Braeden D’Angelo took the loss on the mound for Creekside.  He went 3 innings and gave up 5 runs on only 3 hits.  He struck out 1.  Creekside struck out 6 as a team.

LONGHORNS SNAG THE NABF SENIOR WORLD SERIES TITLE

STRUTHERS OH- After an impressive Championship Sunday the Ohio Longhorns-DeMarino outlasted Knightline to secure a NABF Senior World Series Championship.  They were able to hold off a late rally to earn a 5-3 victory.

Trevor Vojtkofsky did a ton of damage at the plate for the Longhorns. He went 3-4 on the day with a run scored, and a pair of RBI.  AJ Caggiano anchored the lineup by going 2-4 with a RBI, and a run scored.  Parker Monday went 1-4 with a RBI on the day.  Alex Parker also had a RBI on a 1-3 day.

Dominic King reigned all day on the bump as he pitched his way to a complete game victory.  He gave up 1 earned run on 4 hits and struck out 1.

Gavin Shrum was never retired at the plate on the day for Knightline. He went 1-1 with a run scored, and a RBI.  Teagan McCurdy got the other RBI for Knightline going 1-3.  Jake Hettrick was also perfect going 1-1 with a run scored.

Alec Grzyb took the tough luck loss on the mound. He pitched 2 innings and gave up 3 runs on 6 hits. He struck out a pair.
