CHAMPION FIRES BACK AT THE G-MEN

WARREN OH- Champion had everything working on Tuesday, winning big over Garfield 8-2.

Champion fired up the offense in the first inning. Carson Fife drove in two when he singled.

The Flashes tallied three runs in the sixth inning. The offensive onslaught was led by Tyler Skaggs and Fife, who all drove in runs.

Bradey Quinby was the winning pitcher for Champion. The bulldog lasted three and a third innings, allowing one hit and one run while striking out three. Dylan Howell threw three and two-thirds innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Leo Grandizio took the loss for the G-Men. The bulldog allowed four hits and three runs over two innings, striking out three.

The Flashes tallied seven hits. Micah Nolan and Brett Channell each racked up multiple hits. Channell and Nolan each managed two hits to lead. Champion didn’t commit a single error in the field. Skaggs had nine chances in the field, the most on the team.

G-Men was sure-handed in the field as well and didn’t commit a single error. Brock Pesicek had the most chances in the field with seven.
