CHELSEA CHERISHES THE FINAL RIDE

NORTH JACKSON OH- Chelsea Williams is a pure athlete through and through. Each and every season Williams shines bright. Almost as if any thing she picks up she has a knack for.  After coming off an incredible basketball season where she had to use every ounce of energy in the tank. She jumped into softball season with a full battery. Just like basketball, Williams is excelling on the softball diamond.

Chelsea learned so much about how to lead during a basketball season where the Blue Jays only had six players on the roster. It took everything she had. There was no rest, she played just about every minute of every game.  The physical demands aside, Williams also had to make sure the six players stayed together. There were definitely ups and downs to the season, and with six players you would think it would be harder to stay together. But the Blue Jays never wavered, and Williams leadership is a big reason why. Taking those lessons into softball season, Chelsea has become the glowing example of a leader on a team. It goes way beyond statistics. Although Williams does indeed lead the Blue Jays in many offensive categories, it’s her attitude, ability to stay positive, and constant competitiveness that makes the biggest difference.

Williams ended the season with a batting average of .515, 3 HR, and 23 RBI. That was good for the team lead in batting average and home runs.

Williams took the time to come on to YSN’s Running Point to talk about her final year at Jackson Milton. She talks with Ty Bartell, and Anthony Hartwig about her growth throughout the year, the personality of this team, and so much more. Celebrate one of the Blue Jays awesome seniors in the latest player profile.
