CLIPPERS DOMINATE TIGERS

COLUMBINANA, OH- The Columbiana Clippers were clicking on all cylinders picking up their fourth straight victory with a 41-0 drubbing of the Wellsville Tigers. The Clippers scored early and often while stifling the Tigers throughout. Chase Franken rushed for two of the Clippers’ five touchdowns on the ground. Jakob Cross, Hunter Woodring, and Brady Dixon each found paydirt from 2 yards out. Xathon Cross capped the Clipper scoring with a 55-yard interception return before the half. Neither team was able to threaten the goal line in the second half.

Jakob cross passed for 205 yards in the first half connecting with Xathon four times for 72 yards while hitting Justin Rydarowicz twice for 67 yards. Coach Bob Spaite rested his offensive starters the entire second half. The Clippers(5-3) will travel to Lisbon next week. Wellsville (5-3) looks to regroup before hosting Southern Local.
