CLIPPERS EDGE UNITED AGAIN

Both teams were strong on the pitcher’s mound Tuesday, but Columbiana defeated United 3-2. Columbiana pitchers allowed just two hits to United.

United opened up scoring in the first inning. United scored one run when Landon Rhodes singled.

The Clippers pulled away for good with two runs in the third inning. In the third Zachary Pleska homered on a 1-2 count, scoring two runs.

Alex Eusebio earned the win for Columbiana. The fireballer lasted five innings, allowing one hit and two runs while striking out seven. Seth Spooner threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen. Spooner recorded the last six outs to earn the save.

Tanner McCormick took the loss for United. The hurler surrendered three runs on six hits over seven innings, striking out ten

Columbiana tallied one home run on the day. Pleska had a four bagger in the third inning.

Logan Hoschar led the Clippers with two hits in three at bats.

Thr win clinched the outright EOAC title for Columbiana. Who earned at least a share last night.
