CLIPPERS FALL AS THEY RETURN TO PLAY

ALLIANCE, OHIO- The Alliance Aviators jumped out to an early lead over the Columbiana Clippers and took home a 4-1 victory on Wednesday.

The Aviators scored on a double by Rome Biggers and a single by Bo Davis in the first inning. Valentino Fisk was the winning pitcher for the Aviators and lasted four innings, allowing four hits and one run while striking out two. DiAngelo Fisk and Chris Hall entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

Reese Roush led things off on the pitcher’s mound for the Clippers as the righthander surrendered four runs on six hits over four innings, striking out four. Devin Daugherty threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Columbiana will try to get back on a winning streak to finish the season that starts when they take on East Palestine at home on Thursday.
