NEW MIDDLETOWN, OHIO – A big offensive day and strong pitching is what propelled Columbiana over Springfield 14-2 on Saturday afternoon.

Brayden Pipoly led off the game with a double and was then driven in by a Colin Keleman single to give Columbiana an early 1-0 lead.

Pipoly finished with a double, a single in the second inning, another double in the fourth inning, and a single in the seventh. Pipoly, Alex Eusebio, and Ian Less each had RBI’s in the four run seventh inning for Columbiana.

Eusebio took the ball for Columbiana and got the win where he pitched seven innings only allowing three hits, two runs, 10 strikeouts, and one walk.

Columbiana returns home on Monday to welcome in conference opponent the Southern Indians with a 3:00 p.m. scheduled first pitch.
