CLIPS ROCK RIDGE AT VALLEY

VALLEY GOLF COURSE – In a thrilling match held at the picturesque Valley Golf Course, Columbiana’s Boys Golf Team emerged victorious over Mineral Ridge with a final score of 168 to 178. The match showcased impressive individual performances and team spirit from both sides, making it a memorable event for players and spectators alike.

Columbiana’s success was spearheaded by standout performances from Blake Unger and Trenton Hall. Unger led the way with a stellar round, shooting a 38, which was the lowest score of the day. His consistent play and precision on the greens set the tone for Columbiana’s victory. Hall was not far behind, carding a solid 39 and demonstrating his ability to handle the pressure of a competitive match.

David Masters contributed significantly to the team’s overall score, finishing with a 44. Masters’ round was marked by resilience, as he recovered from a few early mishaps to post a commendable score. Nick Klindworth rounded out the team’s scoring with a 47, ensuring Columbiana maintained a comfortable lead over Mineral Ridge.

Mineral Ridge put up a strong fight, with AJ Sandy leading the team by shooting a 41. Sandy’s round was characterized by a blend of powerful drives and accurate putting, making him a formidable opponent. RJ Jensen followed with a 44, showcasing his consistent play and ability to navigate the challenging Valley Golf Course.

Kyle Ague and Cody Gongaware completed Mineral Ridge’s scoring with rounds of 46 and 47, respectively. Despite their efforts, the team fell short of Columbiana’s overall score, but their determination and sportsmanship were evident throughout the match.
