COLUMBIANA EARNS COMBINED NO HITTER

COLUMBIANA OH Columbiana’s two pitchers didn’t allow a single hit, as the Clippers defeated Lisbon 8-0 on Monday.

Columbiana secured the victory thanks to five runs in the first inning. Riley McElwain, Zachary Pleska, Carson Dota, and Brady Kridler all moved runners across the plate with RBIs.

The Clippers fired up the offense in the first inning. McElwain drove in one when he singled.

Seth Spooner was the winning pitcher for Columbiana. The fireballer lasted five innings, allowing zero hits and zero runs while striking out ten.

Ryan Reckner took the loss for Lisbon. The bulldog went one and two-thirds innings, allowing five runs on six hits and walking one.

Alex Eusebio started the game for Columbiana. Eusebio went two innings, allowing zero runs on zero hits and striking out three

Columbiana saw the ball well today, racking up 11 hits in the game. McElwain, Pleska, and Spooner each collected multiple hits. McElwain went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead in hits. The Clippers didn’t commit a single error in the field. Colin Keleman had the most chances in the field with 15.

The Blue Devils didn’t commit a single error in the field. Wallace had seven chances in the field, the most on the team.
