CREEKSIDE HOLDS STRONG TO BOUNCE WHITING

STRUTHERS, OH- The Creekside offense would plate 5 runs in the third inning, and that was all they would need to slide past Whiting Roll-Offs three runs in 18U play Saturday.

Creekside would get big days from Brady Hansen who drove in a pair of runs on the day.  Anthony Sherwin, Lenny Piccini, and Thomas Koch would also drive in one run apiece for the Purple and Orange.  Sherwin would also steal a bag along with Grant Voytovich and BJ Arnold to keep the pressure on Whiting pitchers.

On the hill for Creekside, Andrew Vance was stellar.  Vance surrendered no earned runs and scattered 4 hits while walked one and striking out a quartet.  Shane Wokley had 2 innings in relief and fanned 3 hitters in the outing.

Frank Deluca carried the stick for Whiting by driving in both runs, while Logan Exler took the loss on the mound giving up 7 hits and five earned runs in 2 innings of work.
