CREEKSIDE KEEPS EYES ON THE PRIZE

STRUTHERS, OH- The Prospects watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in a 9-3 loss to Creekside Fitness on Saturday. Creekside Fitness took the lead on a single in the first inning, and never looked back.

The Prospects struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Creekside Fitness, giving up nine runs.

Creekside Fitness fired up the offense in the first inning, when TJ Richey singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.

Creekside Fitness scored four runs in the second inning. Creekside Fitness’s big inning was driven by a triple by Donovan Bell-Sullivan and a single by Aaron Doughty.

Tyson Tarajack pitched Creekside Fitness to victory. He surrendered one run on two hits over five innings, striking out five and walking one. Drew Miller threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Caleb Hadley took the loss for the Prospects. He allowed five hits and six runs over two innings, striking out two.

Cobey Airwyke led the Buccos with two hits in three at-bats.

Jacob Werner went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Creekside Fitness in hits.
