CREEKSIDE WINS TO KEEP CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES ALIVE

STRUTHERS, OH- Creekside Fitness and the Astro Falcons battled for game 3 in the Youngstown Class B championship on Tuesday night. Astro was one win away from the sweep, but Creekside extends the series for one more night.

Creekside brought the sticks early and often in the win or go home scenario, scoring 1 run in the first and plating 3 more in the third inning on a double by Colin Marinpetro. The Astro Falcons would come right back to cut the lead in half in the bottom of the second, scoring runs on a double by Tyler Armstrong, followed by an RBI triple to the wall by Ty Stecko.

Creekside led 4-2 heading into the fifth inning, until they would add 2 more runs to take a 6-2 lead. The offense clicked tonight for Creekside, putting up 10 hits and scoring 6 runs to beat Astro in game 3, 6-2. Creekside Fitness starting pitcher Braden Ziegler was phenomenal, tossing a complete game 3 hit performance, while picking up the victory to keep Creekside alive.
