DADO PERFECT AT THE DISH; RAIDERS GAS PAST GIRARD

CANFIELD, OH- Leave it to a Junior to pay homage to the seniors on Senior Night.  Madison Dado was in the zone on Wednesday, tallying four hits and leading South Range to a 15-2 win over Girard. Dado doubled in the first, singled in the second, singled in the third, and doubled in the fourth.

The Raiders secured the victory thanks to nine runs in the third inning. Anna Aey, Giada Pauline, Ashley Rupert, Dado, Kelly Szolek, and Jayli Wilt each had RBIs in the big inning.

South Range tallied nine runs in the third inning.  The Raiders put the pressure on, led by singles by Pauline, Dado, Szolek, and Wilt and doubles by Aey and Rupert.

Wilt earned the victory in the pitcher’s circle for the Raiders. The pitcher surrendered two runs on five hits over five innings, striking out seven.

Emily Rosace took the loss for Girard. The bulldog surrendered 13 runs on 13 hits over three innings, striking out one and walking one.

South Range collected 15 hits on the day. Dado, Szolek, Rupert, Aey, and Wilt each collected multiple hits for South Range. Dado went 4-for-4 at the plate to lead South Range in hits.

Serrano led Girard with two hits in two at-bats.
