DEVILS WIN IN WALK OFF FASHION

A walk-off single led McDonald past Lowellville 3-2 on Thursday. The game was tied at two in the 8th when Nolan Agler singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.

The pitching was strong on both sides. Joey Skowron struck out eight, while Dylan Okukar sat down four.

Lowellville knotted the game up at one in the top of the fourth inning. An error scored one run.

Skowron led the Blue Devils to victory on the pitcher’s mound. The righty went eight innings, allowing two runs on two hits and striking out eight.

Okukar took the loss for the Rockets. Okukar surrendered three runs on five hits over seven and a third innings, striking out four.

McDonald totaled five hits. Miles Culp and Agler all managed multiple hits. Agler and Culp each collected two hits to lead the offense.
