DOHY TOSSES A NO NO AS GIRARD STRIKES AT JEFFERSON

JEFFERSON, OHIO – Baseball is a game where you always hear one swing of the bay can change an inning or the game itself. That just adds to what makes a no-hitter so special and difficult to do, but Jake Dohy got it done Tuesday night, no-hitting Jefferson and leading Girard to a narrow 2-0 win.

Dohy was absolutely brilliant, bringing his best stuff with him to the mound going seven innings, allowing zero runs on zero hits, striking out ten and walking zero Jefferson batters.

Girard committed three errors in the game, but made up for that with one run in the top of the second and top of the fourth combined with the sheer dominance of Dohy on the rubber to keep Jefferson from taking advantage of those three Girard miscues.

Girard only had one hit, coming from Dominick Tolone who went 1-for-1 at the plate to lead Girard in hits. Girard and Jefferson will go to battle again Wednesday night, with Girard hoping to get the offense going and get another strong pitching performance to grab hold of another win over the Falcons. First pitch from Girard is penciled in for 5:00 p.m.
