DOTA HITS FOR THE CYCLE IN CLIPPERS ROUT

COLUMBIANA OH- Ella Dota had herself a day—hit for the cycle and powered Columbiana to a 20-0 beatdown of Wellsville on Tuesday. She singled and homered in the first, tripled in the third, and capped it with a double in the fourth. Pure domination at the plate.

The Clippers came out swinging in the first and dropped a 10-piece before Wellsville could blink. Addison Brode doubled in a run, Cameron Perkins knocked in two with a double of her own, and Alivia Bell, Landry Smith, and Kyla Hogan each drove in a run. Then Dota stepped in and unloaded a three-run bomb to left. An error tacked on one more for good measure.

They added another in the third on a sac fly from Caitlynn Pleska, then buried Wellsville in the fourth with an eight-run avalanche. Maryn Hepler knocked in one, Dota smoked a bases-clearing double, Perkins added two more with a single, Bell brought one in, and Hogan capped it with another RBI knock.

In the circle, Pleska handled business—three innings, one hit, no runs, eight Ks, no walks. Peyton Stoy came in to finish it off with two no-hit innings, fanning five and walking one.

Columbiana racked up 25 hits. Hogan, Hepler, Anna Yonker, Bell, Perkins, Pleska, and Brode all had multi-hit games. Clean defense too—no errors, with Perkins leading the way in the field with eight plays. Next up, the Clippers head to East Palestine on Wednesday looking to keep the bats hot.
