EAGLE WEAR TIMELY HITTING SINKS PROSPECTS

STRUTHERS, OH- Eagle Wear spread the hitting bug around the dugout on Saturday on their way to a 6-2 victory over the Prospects.

It certainly was contagious, and with 8 hits, the Eagles made the most of the opportunities provided with half of their hits being for extra bags.  Teddy Ruffner and Jack Pawlowicz provided some excitement with their triples, while Ricky Enlow and Donny Shimko dialed up doubles and each had 2 RBI.

Not to be outdone on the bump, Josh Corll pitched a beauty as he went the distance giving up 2 runs (1 earned) while walking 1 and striking out 5.

For the Prospects, Jeremy Kreuzwieser took the loss going 4 innings, giving up six hits, and six runs (5 earned) while walking and striking out a pair of hitters.  Kreuzwiezer tried to back up his efforts offensively, going 1-3 with a stolen base.  Jared Mindek had the lone credited RBI for the Prospects.
