EAGLES FLY OVER SOUTHERN ON SENIOR NIGHT

HANOVERTON OH- The United Local girls golf team, in just their second season of existence, continues to outperform themselves each and every time they take to the links. Wednesday night was no different as the Eagles set a school record defeating Southern Local 188-211 on Senior Night at Twin Springs.

The team total of 188 breaks the record of 197 previously set this season. Mati Zines continues to set records as well this season as the junior shot 36 breaking her previous school record of 37. United’s senior honoree Madison Kibler carded a 47,  while teammates Emma Murphy 51 and Olivia Ashburn 53 contributed to the record day.

Southern was led by Kennedy Lewis posting a 43.  The Indians also had contributions from Paige Riggs 53 and Katie Calderon 55 on the day.  Both teams return to action Tuesday for the EOAC girls tournament set to take place at Salem Hills.
