EAGLES FLY TO PROGRAM’S FIRST FINAL FOUR

John F. Kennedy punched their ticket to the program’s first appearance in the State Final Four with a 7-2 win over Calvert on Saturday.

Calvert got on the board in the first inning when Mason Johnson lined out, driving in a run.

The Eagles tallied four runs in the second inning. The offensive onslaught by was led by Alex DeSalvo, Gavin Shrum, and Cam Hollobaugh, who all drove in runs.

Shrum earned the victory on the hill for JFK. Shrum surrendered zero runs on zero hits over four and two-thirds innings, striking out four and walking one.

Max Paul took the loss for Calvert. The bulldog surrendered six runs on three hits over one and two-thirds innings, striking out one and walking one.

Jaden Rishel started the game for the Eagles. The righty surrendered two runs on five hits over two and a third innings

JFK launched one home run on the day. Hollobaugh went deep in the first inning.

Caleb Hadley went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead JFK in hits.

Josh Gase led Calvert with two hits in three at bats.
