EAGLES KEEP FIGHTING IN NE8

CANFIELD, OH- Lincoln Cleevely was locked in at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3, but South Range couldn’t hold off Hubbard in a 6-4 loss Monday night.

The Raiders jumped out front early when Brennen Klasovsky laced an RBI single in the first to get them on the board. But Hubbard answered in the third with a sac fly from Jonny Adamson, and they took the lead for good in the fifth with a pair of RBI singles from Adamson and Geno Leshnack.

Klasovsky kept South Range in it from the mound, tossing all seven innings and striking out six. He gave up eight hits and three earned runs while also driving in two at the plate.

The Raiders flashed the leather too, turning three double plays on the night.

Cleevely was a spark plug all game long, ripping singles in the first, fifth, and seventh to finish a perfect 3-for-3. Klasovsky went 2-for-4 with two RBI to lead the middle of the order.

Hubbard spread out the offense with eight different players collecting a hit. Adamson and Brant Ifft each drove in a pair. Gabe Rusnak picked up the win for the Eagles, and Braydon Songer came in late to shut the door and earn the save.

South Range and Hubbard go at it again Tuesday—this time in the Eagles’ Nest.
