EAST PALESTINE, OH- Will Franklin understands what it takes to win in girls high school basketball, and in 2023, it looks like Coach Frank has his team locked in heading down the home stretch toward the tournament.  The proof was in the pudding on Thursday en route to a 44-17 conference victory over Valley Christian.

Senior Mia Lee led the way for the Lady Dogs with 16 points, alongside Leila Martin’s 15.  EP was supplemented by Gabby Andre and Marah Zimmerman who each notched five points in the win.  Jasmine Ludt was a beast on the boards, and away from the ball while still contributing three points.

For Valley, Savannah Kitchen paced the Eagles with 9 points, while Diandra Tensley chipped in three.  Amber Kitchen and Nevaeh Williams each dropped a bucket.

East Palestine (9-6,5-4) will now look to take the show on the road to Leetonia, while Valley (5-7, 1-6) will take on Lisbon on Monday.
