EASTWOOD FIELD TO HOST ABILITY WALK & ROLL

NILES OH- Eastwood field is the home of the highest level of baseball our area has to offer. Whether it’s the Youngstown State Penguins in the spring, or the Mahoning Valley Scrappers in the summer, you can always find greatness at Eastwood. However, as we all know greatness is not defined by your athletic ability. Because of that, Eastwood is happy to host the Ability Walk and Roll on August 20th to shine a light on some other great people our valley has to offer.

The inaugural Walk and Roll event is aimed to highlight the abilities of the people in the valley who struggle with developmental disabilities. It was created to help promote the importance of inclusion, acceptance, and respect of people with disabilities.

The Walk and Roll is open to everyone. They service friends, families, and members of the community. It is free to those individuals with developmental disabilities, and $15 for general admission. It will include a special walk around Eastwood Field. There will also be face painting, games, complementary refreshments, and a movie under the stars.  All proceeds will benefit the Fairhaven Foundation.
