EDGEWOOD ENDS CONFERENCE PLAY STRONG

ASHTABULA OH- Edgewood has spent the season winning a whole lot in the CVC.  On Wednesday night they faced their final conference matchup as they welcomed in Geneva. The Warriors pushed their way to a strong 62-35 win to finish out conference play.  They also picked up their 15th win overall.  They improved their conference record from 3 wins last season to 8-2 and a second place finish this year.   Kaci Kanicki and Katie McCollister both led the Warriors offense on the night with 16 points each.

Edgewood also celebrated National Women and Girls in Sports Day by having guest speakers talk during the night. Jen Crossley, Nancy Barbo, and Candice Wiggins all came and spoke in the gym.  Edgewood has a trio of non conference games coming up on their schedule. Next up for the Warriors is Saturday at Ashtabula St John.  Tip off for that game is set for 2:30.
