EDISON RUNS WILD IN BATTLE OF THE CATS

RICHMOND, OH- Heartland Christian stayed in it until the end, but Edison pulled away late in a 13-3 victory on Monday. The game was tied at three with Edison batting in the bottom of the fourth when Ian Mcbone drew a walk, scoring one run.

The Lions struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Edison, giving up 13 runs.

Heartland got on the board in the first inning. The Lions scored one run when Nate Garzanich doubled.

Hunter Rothacker led things off on the mound for Edison. The fireballer surrendered three runs on six hits over five innings, striking out nine.

Seth Walker started the game for Heartland Christian. The pitcher lasted three and two-thirds innings, allowing five hits and ten runs while striking out three. Garzanich threw one-third of an inning in relief.

Garzanich led Heartland Christian with two hits in three at-bats.

Gage Cline went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Edison in hits.
