EVAN ALMIGTHTY! KENNEALLY TOSSES NO-NO AGAINST LIBERTY

COLUMBIANA, OH- Evan Kenneally tossed a no-hitter to help the Columbiana Clippers (9-8) defeat the Liberty Leopards 11-0 in five innings on Thursday afternoon.  Kenneally allowed only one baserunner the entire day while striking out three en route to the victory.  Kenneally used a combination of off-speed pitches and excellent control to force weak contact that the Clippers at up defensively.  A throwing error in the 4th inning was the only blemish on what otherwise was a perfect day for Kenneally and the Clippers.

Offensively, Columbiana pounded out nine hits, walked five times and were hit by three pitches.  Leading the way were Ryan Fahs, Chase Franken, and Michael Ginocchi who each collected two hits on the afternoon.  Fahs had a double and three RBI, Franken roped two doubles, scored two runs and walked twice.  Ginocchi scored three runs to go along with his two hits.  In addition, Riley McElwain doubled and scored in the second for the Clippers.

Columbiana will travel to East Liverpool tomorrow to take on the Potters at 5 PM.
