FALCONS FALL SHORT TO MASSILLON

CANTON OH- It was a tough day for the Fitch baseball team on Tuesday as they made the trip to Canton to play Massillon Washington in the district semifinals. The Falcons ran into problems on all fronts and fell by a score of 12-3.

The Falcons were down 7-0 before they could blink. After scoring twice in the first inning, the Tigers sent 10 runners to the plate in a 5 run second inning. Fitch would respond in the 2nd with two bases loaded walks by Eddie DeFlorio, and Alarik Sierra. Sierra would later hit into a RBI groundout with the bases loaded to score Fitch’s third run.

The Falcons were held to just 3 hits in the game. Their ability to work eight walks out plenty of action on the bases, but Fitch couldn’t find the timely hits to bring home runners. Fitch finished their impressive season at 15-7.
