FALCONS FLY PAST GIRARD

GIRARD, OH- The Girard Lady Indians watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in a 4-2 loss to Jefferson on Monday. Jefferson took the lead on a double in the first inning and never turned back.

Jefferson got on the board in the first inning when Hagerton doubled on the first pitch of the at-bat, scoring one run.

Samantha Dohy started the game for Girard. She surrendered four runs on 12 hits over seven innings, striking out seven and walking one.  Sahan Dede, Dohy, Kaitlyn Culver, Emily Semple, and Sophie Griffith each collected one hit to lead the Lady Indians.

Leading the way for the Lady Falcons where Hagerton, Pascarella, Wilber, S Wilber, and Matuz all had multiple hits for Jefferson. Hagerton led Jefferson with three hits in four at-bats.
