FALCONS PULL OFF INCREDIBLE COMEBACK

AUSTINTOWN OH- Austintown Fitch took their game in dramatic walk-off fashion on Monday night, thanks to a walk-off double at the end of the game to topple Howland Tigers. Fitch was down 10-1 in the bottom of the seventh inning when they came all the way back, the victory capped off by a Rocco DiFlorio double on a 1-1 count, scoring two runs.

Both offenses were strong at the plate as the Falcons collected five hits and Howland eight in the high-scoring affair

Nik Kyprianou took the win for the Falcons. The lefthander allowed one hit and zero runs over one inning, striking out two and walking one. Frank Pugliese and John Darnley entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

Brenden Ray started the game for the Tigers. The lefthander went six innings, allowing one run on two hits and striking out five.

Mason Petridis started the game for Fitch. The righty went four and two-thirds innings, allowing four runs on four hits and striking out seven

Howland racked up eight hits on the day. Robert Gumino, and Nick Leasure managed multiple hits. Nick Lewis went 3-for-5 at the plate to lead the Tigers in hits.
