FALCONS RESPOND TO SEND A2Z PACKING

STRUTHERS, OH- We’re starting to see a pattern with the 14U Astro Falcons: Don’t poke the bear.

For the second straight game, the Astro Falcons started slow, only to blow past their opposition.  This time the victim was an arch rival in A2Z who fell 8-5.

A2Z  fired up the offense in the first inning when Chris Denney drove in one when he singled.

Astro notched three runs in the second inning. Dylan Barrett and Jaden Rishel powered the big inning with RBIs.

However, the Astro Falcons took the lead for good with one run in the third inning when Ryan DiLullo grounded out, scoring one run.

Drew Kaschak pitched Astro to victory. He allowed one hit and two runs over three innings, striking out two.

Matt Paparodis was on the hill for A2Z . He surrendered six runs on four hits over four innings, striking out two. Parker Dobson threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

DiLullo started the game for the Astro Falcons. He surrendered three runs on five hits over three innings, striking out four and walking one

Astro scattered seven hits in the game. Jay Michael Wrona and Barrett each racked up multiple hits for the Blue and Orange. Barrett and Wrona each managed two hits to lead the team.

Denney led A2Z with three hits in three at bats.
