FALCONS SPOT ON IN LOUISVILLE

LOUISVILLE OH- In a volleyball match between Louisville and Austintown. The two teams went 5 rounds in a slugfest Thursday night.

Louisville grabbed the early set lead and stunned The Falcons 25-23 in both set 1, ending Fitch’s 19 set winning streak. Grabbing a set lead twice on Fitch, Louisville also won a pivotal set 3 to take another lead against a team that only trailed in sets one other time this season.

Both teams had huge contributions down the stretch. Kelsey Adelman led The Lady Leopards offense with 11 kills on the night. Sophomore setter Addison Burick also filled in the box score, coming 1 service point shy of a triple double (36 assists and 20 digs).

However it was The Lady Falcons captains Jocelyn Jourdan and The Player of the Game Alyssa Leskovac that came up big for Fitch.
A combined 31 kills for the two Fitch captains. A night in which Leskovac was responsible for 17 of those kills, which led both teams on Thursday.

S1: Louisville 25 – Fitch 23
S2: Fitch 25 – Louisville 23
S3: Louisville 25 – Fitch 23
S4: Fitch 25 – Louisville 16
S5: Fitch 15 – Louisville 9

The Leopards (6-8) are home when they face Tuslaw next on Tuesday, September 28th.
The Falcons (12-1) will be on the road in a tough tri-match, taking on both Massillon Perry and Dover on Saturday, September 25th.
