FALCONS USE FAST START TO FLY PAST RANGE

CANFIELD, OH – The South Range Raiders baseball team hosted Austintown Fitch on Friday looking to get back in the win column after a loss the other day. The Raiders had a tall task ahead of them in the Falcons. Austintown would start the game off with 2 runs in the first 3 innings, and add onto that in the 4th with 4 runs to make it 6-1. In the 5th, The Falcons added 5 more runs to make it 11-1. South Range would cut the lead by adding 3 runs in the 5th to make it 11-4 but the Falcons would hold off the Raiders to get the 11-4 victory.

 

For the Raiders, 9 total hits, 4 RBI’s. Aidan English: 3 IP, 4 ER, 3 K’s, 2 for 4 with 1 double. Trey Pancake: 4 IP, 5 ER, 6 K’s, 0 for 3. Mike Perry: 1 for 3 with 1 RBI and 1 double.

 

For the Falcons, 9 total hits, 6 RBI’s. Jake Corll: 4 IP, 5 K’s, 1 ER, 4 hits against. Mike Sciortino: 3 for 4 with 3 base hits. Vinnie Sciortino: 2 for 4 with 2 base hits. Alarik Sierra: 1 for 5 with 1 base hit and 1 RBI. 

 

South Range will travel to Salem to take on the Quakers, Saturday the 24th. Austintown will also be in action Saturday the 24th as they host Canfield. Don’t miss it on YSN!
