FALCONS WIN BATTLE OF THE BIRDS

STRUTHERS, OH- Tino Campoli took the mound on Tuesday with confidence, almost as if he knew his teammates would back him at the dish.  Low and behold, Tino and his crew would let the aluminum fly against Eagle Wear in dominant fashion by blanking them 11-0.

Campoli went the distance for Astro (2-0) in the condensed contest striking out 8, walking 2 while scattering 3 hits over 5 innings.  He also contributed offensively with a pair of RBI, while scoring twice and walking twice as well.  Seth Cervello also had 2 RBI, and Ben Slanker had a triple.  The Falcons dominated the basepaths as well with AJ Havrilla nabbing a stolen base while Luca Ricchiuti stole a couple cookies without being caught.

Eagle Wear (0-2) trotted out a quartet of pitchers: Larry Iagulli, Jake Papagallo, Anthony Caruso, and Zach Luciano.  The set combined for 2 strikeouts, 13 walks and gave up 10 earned runs.

Offensively, Josh Loew, Chris Altiere, and Joe Roth had hits for Eagle Wear.
