FITCH ABLE TO SQUEEZE BY

AUSTINTOWN OH- When Austintown Fitch and Solon clashed on Thursday, it was a pitchers duel full of untouchable stuff from both pitchers as Fitch came out on the right side of a 2-1 final score.

The two runs for Fitch came in the bottom of the first when Jackson Cheeks singled in a pair of runners. Drew Kaschak and Frank Senediak both had themselves multi-hit games to lead Fitch in hits.

Mason Petridis shined on the mound for Fitch. Petridis pitched all seven innings and looked very strong, only allowing three hits, one run, and a dazzling 16 strikeouts of Solon batters as his swing and miss stuff was clicking all night long.

The final line for Fitch was the two runs on six hits and the only flaw in their win was the one fielding error. Alex Mester had the lone RBI for Solon and Harley Barmen led the Comets in hits with two on the night.
