FITCH BRINGS THEIR TALENTS DOWN SOUTH

MYRTLE BEACH SC- An 8:00am first pitch on a Monday morning wasn’t enough to disrupt the Fitch softball team’s momentum as they started their week in Myrtle Beach with another blowout win to stay undefeated on the season.

The Lady Falcons beat Anderson County (KY) 11-0 on the strength of 15 strikeouts, a home run, and three RBIs by Sydnie Watts. She and catcher McKenna Hogan combined for the shutout win and gave up just one hit. To go along with Watts’ impressive performance on both sides of the ball, Fitch had five other players add RBIs including Hogan, Morgan Roby, Samantha Severn, Ashlee McClean, and Abby Toth. Lily Stevens got on the books with a single.

In all, the Lady Falcons racked up 15 hits and improved to 7-0 in the process. They’ll take on Bamber-Ehrhardt (SC) tomorrow at 10:00am.
