FITCH CLUTCHES SOLE POSSESSION OF AAC CROWN

CANFIELD OH- There we’re so many story lines to keep track of Tuesday night as Fitch, and Canfield squared off for the second time of the season. The most important thing on the line however, was the AAC championship. The Falcons needed a win to claim the outright title, Canfield still had a chance to force a share. It ended up being Fitch’s day in a thriller fit for a title match. The Falcons won in five sets. (17-25 25-16 23-25 25-17 15-10)

Jocelyn Jourdan was putting on a display of power. After being held to just 2 kills in the first set, Jourdan finished with 26 on the night. She also had 26 digs to earn a massive double double. Alyssa Leskovac showed up big as well earning a double double with 15 kills, and 21 digs. Ella Sahli played great defense as well finishing with 24 digs. Erin Burke set up 25 assists, while Sammi Misik had 20.

Abbie Householder had a memorable senior night for the Cardinals. She eclipsed 1,000 career kills on her 5th of the night. She would finish with a match high 29. Abby Muckleroy finished the night with 6 kills. Parker Wilkins was also electric in the back row on defense for Canfield.

Fitch will continue the season Thursday at Sharpsville. Canfield wil ll travel to Girard on Thursday.
