FITCH TOPS LOUISVILLE IN HOME OPENER

AUSTINTOWN, OH- Down a few men to injuries and illness, the plan was for the Falcons to take things slow and maximize endurance.  However, the players had other plans.  Fitch came out flying in their offense and Louisville had a hard time slicing the stout defense of Coach Brian Beany on the way to a 59-44 win in the Falcon’s Nest.

The Falcons came out of the gate fast and lead 14-6 after the first quarter. The second quarter saw the Leopards cut to 28-26 at the half.

The Falcons flexed their muscles in the 3rd quarter outscoring Louisville 19-2 to start the second half.  The Falcons continued their high-octane play by extending their lead to 53-29 with 4 minutes left.

The starters got a well-deserved rest as the reserve players finished out the game. Leading scorers were Todd Simons with 27,  Nate Leskovac with 10,  along with Devin Sherwood and Kris Brown with 7 each.

The Leopards had a tough time maneuvering in the forest that is Mike Remish and Trae Wilks on the inside.

The Falcons next game is Tuesday, Dec 10th vs Mooney, you can catch that game right here on YSN.
