FITZGERALD LEADS THE WAY IN REBELS WIN OVER POTTERS

EAST LIVERPOOL, OH- East Liverpool fell behind early and couldn’t come back in an 11-4 loss to Crestview on Saturday. Crestview took the lead on a stolen base in the second inning.  Crestview pulled away for four runs in the second inning, where the Rebs scored on a past ball during McGoogan‘s at-bat. Then McGoogan singled to keep the carousel moving.

After Crestview scored two runs in the top of the sixth, East Liverpool answered with two of their own. Crestview scored when James Fitzgerald doubled on a 2-2 count, scoring two runs. East Liverpool then answered when Caleb Learn grounded out, scoring a run and Derek Klein singled on a 0-2 count, scoring another.

Isaac Ricketts was the winning pitcher for Crestview. He allowed one hit and one run over three innings, striking out three. Carter Blakeman and Joey Hawkins entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

Kamren Klakos took the loss for the Potters. He surrendered six runs on ten hits over three innings, striking out one.  Klakos went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead the team in hits.

Crestview racked up 15 hits on the day. FitzgeraldBlakeman, Keith Berger, and Devin Turvey each collected multiple hits for Crestview.
