FLASHES PUT A JOLT INTO JACKSON MILTON

NORTH JACKSON, OHIO- Wednesday’s game against the Champion Flashes was a heartbreaker for Bluejays, as they lost the lead late in a 7-5 defeat.

The Flashes got things moving in the second inning, when Brett Channell tripled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run. The Bluejays evened things up at three in the bottom of the fourth inning when Billy Sloan singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs.

The Bluejays racked up ten hits as Dominic Krol and Sloan each collected multiple hits. Krol went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead the team in hits.

Channell led things at the plate for the Flashes as he went 2 for 4. Hunter Haines led the Flashes to victory on the hill. The hurler went five innings, allowing four runs on seven hits and striking out seven before Bradey Quinby threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.

 Aaren Romigh took the loss for Bluejays as the righty lasted five and a third innings, allowing six hits and six runs while striking out three. Champion will now take on South Range in the Division III District Semi-Final.
