CANFIELD, OH- LeBron James said once that “In Northeast Ohio, nothing is given, everything is earned.” That statement rings true in Canfield as the Cards were able to get a big home victory over Howland in Week 1. Leading the way was their signal-caller and senior, Ethan Fletcher. Fletcher has adopted the split QB reps with open arms, as the feeling is that having two elite quarterbacks makes the duty to prepare doubly as difficult.
Although he splits reps in the backfield, the two-way starter doesn’t limit his leadership. Fletcher has taken all the lessons he’s learned in leading from his bloodlines and experiences both on and off the field. Given that this season was not guaranteed to happen, Ethan has a mindset that he’s going to put his best foot forward each and every play he has.
