GARFIELD PROTECTS THEIR HOME FIELD

GARRETTSVILLE, OHIO- The Campbell Memorial Red Devils fell 11-4 to Garfield on Tuesday despite out-hitting them ten to eight.

The Red Devils struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Garfield, giving up 11 runs. Garfield took the control of the game with five runs in the fourth inning when Kaitlyn Thompson drew a walk, scoring one run, Lizzy Moore singled on a 1-0 count, scoring two runs, Maddy Wilson tripled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run, and an error scored one run. Wilson led the team at the plate going 3 for 3.

Ramani Adams and Mileena Williams all managed multiple hits for the Red Devils. Adams led things at the plate as she went 3-for-4. Adams also led things off in the circle for Campbell Memorial. The hurler went five innings, allowing eight runs on six hits and striking out seven before Bella Ornelas came in and threw one inning out of the bullpen.

The G-Men will be on the diamond once again when the take on the visiting Labrae Vikings on Wednesday at 5:00 pm. Memorial will take on Lowellville at home on Thursday. First pitch is scheduled for 5:00 pm.
