GARFIELD SHOWS THE BOMBERS HOW IT’S DONE
WINDHAM OH- Garfield made quick work of Windham on Saturday, cruising to an 11-1 win behind a monster third inning and a lights-out showing in the circle.
Kolby Fresch got the party started early, smashing a solo shot in the first to put the G-Men on the board. Then in the third, the wheels came off for Windham. Garfield dropped six runs in the frame—stringing together a mix of hits, a couple miscues, and some smart situational at-bats. Juliana Genovese and Olivia Bailey came through with run-scoring knocks, and Kaelyn Tasker added another RBI single. Throw in a pair of errors, and just like that, it was a blowout.
Genovese didn’t just do damage at the plate—she also got the job done in the circle. The righty went the distance, giving up just three hits and no earned runs over five innings, striking out six and walking none.
Fresch led the run production with two RBIs, while Genovese, Tenley Korosec, Olivia Zicari, and Brooke Hrabak helped keep the pressure on with aggressive baserunning—Garfield swiped six bags in total. Windham managed three hits on the day but couldn’t piece anything together against Genovese.
