Garfield had No drop me in Monday’s district semifinal as they blew out Kirtland 11-1.
The G-Men got things started in the first inning when an error scored one run.
Garfield scored five runs in the fifth inning. The rally was led by singles by Brandyn Bogucki and Vinnie Grandizio, by Aidan Hill, and an error on a ball put in play by Eric Geddes.
Geddes earned the victory on the mound for the G-Men. Geddes surrendered one run on three hits over five innings, striking out six.
Gino Blasini took the loss for Kirtland. The pitcher lasted four innings, allowing five hits and six runs while striking out two.
The G-Men totaled nine hits. Bogucki, Ian Hunt, and Grandizio each had multiple hits. Bogucki led the offense with three hits in four at bats.
