Both teams were strong on the rubber Tuesday, but Girard defeated Poland 3-1. Emily Rosace allowed just six hits.

In the first inning, Girard got their offense started. Tori Owens hit into a fielder’s choice, scoring one run.

Rosace got the win for Girard. The pitcher went seven innings, allowing one run on six hits, striking out five and walking one.

Katie McDonald took the loss for Poland. The bulldog allowed six hits and three runs over six innings, striking out seven.

Abbie Rafferty led the Indians with three hits in three at bats.

Camryn Lattanzio went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Poland in hits.
