Girard won on Thursday in dramatic fashion to advance to a district semifinals. The Indians scored 4 runs in the 7th to win against Struthers, 5-4

Struthers fired up the offense in the first inning. Nicolina Pezzone doubled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.

Emily Rosace was credited with the victory for Girard. The righthander allowed five hits and four runs over seven innings, striking out nine.

Pezzone took the loss for Struthers. The hurler surrendered five runs on seven hits over six and a third innings, striking out 11.

The Indians tallied seven hits on the day. Sophie Griffith and Seyhan Dede all managed multiple hits. Dede and Griffith each managed two hits to lead.

Struthers scattered five hits in the game. Brooke Adams and Mary Bayus all had multiple hits.
