GIRARD STILL UNBEATEN

GIRARD OH- It was a highly anticipated matchup between two of division 2’s best on Saturday. Despite all three sets being extremely contested, Girard was able to hold off West Branch and win the match in straight sets. (26-24 25-21 25-19)

Lauren Pallone led the offense with 21 kills on the day. She also collected 7 digs. Bree Latell was right behind her, finishing the game with a double double with 18 kills, and 14 digs. Ali Durkin played very well in the setter’s position. She finished with 26 assists. Abbie Rafferty led the Indians in digs with 15.

Girard will enter their last week of the regular season as they will travel to Mooney on Wednesday. West Branch has their big rivalry matchup with Salem in Quaker country on Monday.
