Hardenbrook’s Road Has Been Anything But Easy (Crestview Player Profile)

(Columbiana, OH) When you’re trying to follow in the footsteps of a sibling, it’s never an easy road. When you suffer a season-ending injury to your knee, things just got a bit more difficult. For Rebel Senior Andrew Hardenbrook, he has been tested by adversity and has passed with flying colors in 2017.

Week four of the season last year, Andrew tore his MCL and was forced to sit out the rest of the year and watch his teammates scramble to a 3-7 finish. This provided Andrew the appetite he would need to bounce back not only in football, but in wrestling as well. Andrew’s older brother, Matt became the first state placer in school history when he won 5th place in Division III in 2013. Andrew aspires to keep the Hardenbrook string of success going, but knows it won’t be handed to him.

We sat down with Andrew and discussed how he’s used his personal battles to overcome a tough loss to Struthers last week.
