HEARTLAND GOES THE DISTANCE IN WIN OVER EP

COLUMBIANA, OH- Another night of volleyball for Heartland Christian, another 5-set match.  This time it was the Lady Lions able to claw out the victory over their rivals down State Route 14, East Palestine 3-2 (25-19, 10-25, 25-23, 19-25, 15-7.)

Emma Hall was slow to get involved as East Palestine attempted to play keep-away from the senior leader for Heartland, but once the motor started, it was hard to slow her down.  Hall had 22 kills, 10 points, 7 aces, 30 digs, and 29 serve receives in the match.  Lauren Miasek also chipped in with 10 kills and 4 aces.  Jordan Webb had the shovel out with 29 digs for the Lady Lions as well.  Bella Drokin had 27 helpers.

For East Palestine, Mackenzie Parker had 15 kills and 16 assists with 4 points to boot.  Sophia Foster had 15 points, a pair of aces, and a block, while Mia Lee had 9 points, 3 aces, and a block.  Elle Berger celebrated her birthday in style with 18 digs, 9 kills, and a block as well.

The Lady Bulldogs (8-4) will return to action on Thursday in Columbiana while Heartland (5-6) will take on Alliance and Crestview on Saturday.
