HOBAN LOCKS IN ON DISTRICTS

AKRON OH- After Hoban was given a scare in the first round of the tournament, they refocused themselves on Thursday against Cuyahoga Falls.  In the sectional final the Knights took control from the jump with suffocating pressure on defense. The amount of turnovers they forced let them race out to a 46 point first half.  That is three more points than the Knights scored in the whole game on Saturday against Kent Roosevelt.

Offensively the Knights were led by Mackenzie Edingburgh with 13 points.  Kennedy Arison was also in double figures for the Knights in her last home game of her career. She scored 11 points on the night.  Both Makenzie Grant and Niera Stevens finished the game with 9 points.  Emma Rasmussen chipped in 8 as well.

Hoban advances to the district semifinals on Tuesday.  They’ll be matched up with 11th seeded Shaker Heights.  That game will be on Tuesday February 21st at Perry High School.  Tip off is scheduled for 6:00.
