HOBAN STREAKS ON UNIONTOWN LAKE

UNIONTOWN OH- Archbishop Hoban won big over Lake 8-2 on the road on Saturday.

The Knights opened up scoring in the first inning, when Kennedy Bray singled on a 0-2 count, scoring one run.

Archbishop Hoban scored three runs in the seventh inning. They scored their runs on a home run by Taylor Gerring.

Faith Porter pitched the Knights to victory. The righty lasted seven innings, allowing six hits and two runs while striking out 14.

Peyton Ury took the loss for Lake. Ury allowed 11 hits and eight runs over seven innings, striking out one.

Archbishop Hoban hit two home runs on the day. Mackenzie Wood put one out in the second inning. Gerring went yard in the seventh inning.

The Knights racked up 11 hits on the day. Lacie Quarles, Nylah Durham, and Sidney Conti all managed multiple hits. Quarles led the way with three hits in four at bats.

Jocelyn Quior went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead the Blue Streaks in hits.
