HOBAN WILL GO FOR FOURTH STRAIGHT TITLE

PERRY OH- Hoban has been a staple in northeast Ohio girls basketball over the last three seasons.  They’ve won three district championships in a row. This season has definitely been more of a wavy road, but here the Knights are a step away from a championship again. They earned their spot in their fourth straight title game with a 53-39 win over Shaker Heights on Friday night.  After being down by 2 at halftime, it was a big 21 point outburst in the third frame that let the Knights run away with the game.

Emma Rasmussen put together a monster of a game to keep her senior season alive.  She finished the night with 27 points.  Fellow senior Rylee Bennett also found herself in double figures with 11 points.  Makenzie Grant chipped in 6 points to Hoban’s cause.

Hoban will advance to the district championship game on Friday night.  They’ll be squared up with Green at Perry High School.  The last time the two teams met, the Knights won in overtime.  Tip off for the championship is set for 7:00.
